03 January 2012 - Adrian to present at 10th Encéphale Congress in Paris

Adrian Newman-Tancredi Ph.D. will be presenting at a Session of the 10th Encéphale Congress of French Psychiatry, taking place in Paris from 18th to 20th January 2012. The session will be sponsored by AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and focus on the mechanism of action of antipsychotics, with particular reference to quetiapine (Seroquel ®). The latter's metabolite, norquetiapine, possesses a distinctive profile of activity, inhibiting noradrenaline reuptake and activating serotonin 5-HT1A receptors.
