18 June 2013 - Online neuroscience webinar: novel treatments for BPSD

Adrian Newman-Tancredi PhD DSc will be participating in an online neuroscience conference taking place from 18th to 20th June 2013. The webinar, organized by the online life-science conference organizer, TargetMeeting, will provide wide-ranging and free access to international speakers without the need to travel (the only requirements are a headphone and an internet connection).

Adrian's presentation will focus on novel strategies for identifying improved drugs to treat Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). BPSD is characterised by  psychosis, agitation and mood deficits. Currently-used drugs, such as atypical antipsychotics, are only poorly efficacious. Adrian has collaborated as Research Advisor on a program led by Dr. Marcin Kołaczkowski of Adamed Pharmaceuticals (Warsaw, Poland) to build a drug discovery platform identifying novel chemical entities targeting BPSD.

Adrian has extensive experience of neuropsychiatric drug discovery and has presented to a wide variety of audiences. If you would like more information: Contact.

Thursday, 20th June 2013, 12h00–12h30 EST (New York) = 18h00-18h30 CET (Europe).

Presentation title: "Targeting behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia: comparison of antipsychotics and the novel compound, ADN-1184 in rat models."
